BH FLIM Systems Record Multi-Wavelength FLIM

bh FLIM systems are able to record FLIM in 16 wavelength channels simultaneously. The technique uses a bh MW-FLIM multi-wavelength detector in combination with a bh TCSPC FLIM module. Using bh’s multi-dimensional TCSPC process, the FLIM module builds up a photon distribution over the times and the wavelengths of the photons and the position of the scanner in the moment of their detection. The result is an array of pixels, each containing 16 decay curves for different wavelength. By avoiding any scanning in time or wavelength, the result is obtained at near-ideal photon efficiency and within shortest possible acquisition time. Multi-Wavelength Detection is available for all bh TCSPC FLIM devices, including the new SPC-QC-104 modules. Multi-wavelength recording is also available in bh TCSPC modules without FLIM function. Instead of multi-wavelength FLIM images, these modules record a set of 16 spectrally separate decay functions for a single spot within a sample.
